DACA
On June 15, 2012, the Secretary of Homeland Security announced that certain people who came to the United States as children and meet several guidelines may request consideration of deferred action and a work permit for a period of two years, subject to renewal. Deferred action is a use of prosecutorial discretion to defer removal action against an individual for a certain period of time. The attorneys and paralegals at Deason have been working with DACA clients since 2012 and know the issues that are important. We are evaluating and monitoring the pending proposals in Washington D.C. and are ready to work with our clients to keep their DACA status and take advantage of any new legislative opportunities that may be passed by Congress.
